Discussion

Rod Walters Apr 23, 2010:
General hospital The meaning is a "general hospital", where general has the same meaning as in "general officer", ie, a comprehensive, central, coordinating role. "Reference hospital" is meaningless. "Core hospital" also appears on Japanese hospital websites, but this too conveys nothing much in English.
