English term

Food Safety

Non-PRO Homework / test English to Russian Science Safety
I am working on a class project and using the term "Food Safety" in the context of a title of a poster detailing safety precautions for workers in a factory. "Food Safety" is the whole title, there are no additional words in that section of the poster. The post covers practices for workers to observe both at work and at home, and the workplace is not a facility that handles food (the content is just an informational advisory). I am unsure which of the following is more appropriate to capture this intent:

Безопасность пищевых продуктов

ИЛИ

Безвредность пищевых продуктов

It looks like both variants are used in certain contexts, but it's not clear to me where the two terms are appropriate and clarification would be very helpful.

Заранее спасбо!

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (2): mk_lab, Marzena Malakhova

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Если далее все меры предосторожности описываются общедоступным языком, в целях просвещения, я бы назвала именно так. Название зависит от стиля представления рекомендаций

This is not just about foodstuffs, but rather about food safety in the workplace, so more extended expression should be used

пищевая безопасность

I would say "Безопасность пищевых продуктов" or "Пищевая безопасность". In case of the poster I would go with the second one but if it is a name of the "food safety" subject at the university - the first
Example sentence:

Пищевая безопасность на предприятии позволяет выйти на новый уровень

панъевропейская конференция по безопасности пищевых продуктов
