English term

that it broke up completely

English to Spanish Science Astronomy & Space A religious book about the Creation/evolution debate
When Halley’s comet came by in 1910 the diameter of the nucleus was only about 5km. When it came last in 1986, it was not so bright and there was some evidence ***that it broke up completely***. This is because every time a comet comes close to the sun, much of the material boils off, forming a glowing halo (‘coma’) which can be 400,000km in diameter.
