Also known as the Portfolio Yield, this is an indicator of the loan portfolio’s ability to generate revenue. A comparison of the Portfolio Yield with the Operating Cost (or Expense) Ratio will show the ability of the MFI to use the revenue generated from the portfolio to cover its operating costs. An increasing yield on gross portfolio is positive.
