Candy Dance
This weekend, at the Annual Intertribal Pow-Wow participants and spectators will be treated to a special dance: The Candy Dance.
The Candy Dance is a children's game. Children of all ages entered the dance circle and .eagerly awaited Instruction. The MC will choose four men to watch over the children both as enforcers of the rules and tricksters.
The MC will explain the rules -the children are to dance around the circle to the beat of the drum, when the drum stops, they can gather up as much of the candy that had been strewn about as they wanted, but when the drum starts again, they have to drop it and keep dancing around the circle.
When it is all over they can keep whatever candy they had in their hands, but they have to share with each other.
