Hello, could you please advise, whether "Cancel" button could be translated ad "Firmar" in Spanish (Latin America)?

Cerrar
"Cerrar" is an appropriate translation for "Sign off" because it conveys the action of closing or ending a session, which is the intended meaning of "Logout." The word "Cerrar" is commonly used in user interfaces and is easily understood by Spanish-speaking users to indicate the action of logging out or ending a session.
Note from asker:
And could you please confirm that "firmar" could not be used in this context? Sorry for insisting, but we have spotted this option in a translation and want to be sure that it should not be absolutely used in this context). |

Cancelar
Using "Firmar" for "Cancel" in Spanish would likely cause confusion because "Firmar" means "Sign" or "To sign" in English. To maintain clarity and consistency with user expectations, it's better to use "Cancelar" for "Cancel" in Spanish. This is the commonly accepted translation for "Cancel" in software interfaces.
Note from asker:
Hello, Laura, thank you for your answer! Sorry, I have just noticed that I have made a mistake. In English it is "Sign off" (meaning "Logout"). So in that case is it possible to use "Firmar" or "Cerrar" is better? |

: I totally agree with what Laura said. And about your new question, Ekaterina, cerrar is equivalent to logg out. We most likely use firmar to put a sign on a document, not to logg in or logg out. I hope you do not bother my comentary in your conversation.
