"Most advanced D-SLR cameras have an autobracket setting. This clever little feature sets the camera to take three pictures automatically, in rapid succession: one at the “correct exposure,” one overexposed, and one underexposed. F-stop hace referencia a la apertura del diafragma.
La idea es que la cámara hace su foto "automática" y luego hace una con un grado de apertura inferior y otro grado de apertura superior (por eso indica "either side", o sea "a ambos lados"...)
Habrá alguna forma más elegante de expresarlo, pero te dejo con la idea y espero que te ayude...

Mira esto de Random House, asimismo:
f-number, n. Optics, Photog.
a number corresponding to the ratio of the focal length to the diameter of a lens system, esp. a camera lens. In f/1.4, 1.4 is the f-number and signifies that the focal length of the lens is 1.4 times as great as the diameter. Abbr.: f/, f/, f, f: Also, f number. Also called focal ratio, speed, stop number. Cf. relative aperture.

La idea es que la cámara hace su foto "automática" y luego hace una con un grado de apertura inferior y otro grado de apertura superior (por eso indica "either side", o sea "a ambos lados"...)
Habrá alguna forma más elegante de expresarlo, pero te dejo con la idea y espero que te ayude...
