The church has the responsibility to be the spiritual family to the believer. Just as we need our parents and families to care for us and to protect us. The church serves as the family that cares for its members, protecting them, loving them, and even correcting them when they make mistakes. The fellowship of the believers, either through the local church or fellowship group, is crucial for the spiritual well-being of the believer. The church (i.e., the members) serves as ***accountability group***, holding each member responsible for his actions and personal growth. But, also, the church provides fellowship, based on the actions of giving to and receiving from one another.
