Embrace one's geeky side / concentrate on things which might be thought of as geeky
Difficult without the context, but I would suggest it means these two, with reference to the definition of geek:
1. An unfashionable or socially inept person.
2. A person with an eccentric devotion to a particular interest: "a computer geek". (Wikipedia)
a) embracing one's geeky side. Involve yourself in the study of a computer and enjoy doing so, discuss particular interests with other people and enjoy doing so
b) the act of concentrating on the details of a particular interest or hobby which might be considered "geeky" e.g. trainspotting, computers, etc.
I can't think of an exact phrase which would be used instead, as it's quite specific, but hopefully these explanations help.

get your geek on
"get your geek on" is a very popular phrase, with articles such as "eight ways to get your geek on," that talk about ways for those who are science/technology/game oriented to do things they enjoy either by themselves or with groups of like minded individuals. The geek is the more bookish as opposed to the more athletic/jock oriented person in this context. So geek can refer to the technology/science use of geek in this expression, or to people who like to play video games or other games outside the normal jock/football/socceer type games.
