Flemish term

aanvullende waarborgen groep

Flemish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Another term from this insurance embedded value report:

Deze daling is zeer sterk en doet de waardestijging tengevolge van het modelleren van de aanvullende waarborgen groep meer dan teniet.

I think by 'groep' they're referring to group business (as opposed to individual business), but I'm not sure what the 'aanvullende waarborgen' are.

Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Mar 8, 2005:
All occurrences I'll provide as much context as I can. In addition to the above, it then goes on to talk about 'Belangrijke wijzigingen' under 'Summary of Results'.
Modelwijzigingen
De aanvullende waarborgen groep werden dit jaar gemodelleerd. Voor individueel werd een aanpassing aan het model doorgevoerd.
Then under PVFP Groep (Excl Cost of Solvency) [their English heading]
De grote wijziging in het deel herverzekering is hoofdzakelijk te wijten aan de herverzekering op de aanvullende waarborgen groep.

And they are the only occurrences of this phrase in the text. I've found Dutch hits on 'aanvullende waarborgen', but I'm still none the wiser.

Lucy, this is very technical (actuarial) and IMHO you will not get the help you really need by posting a few isolated terms. The interaction and meaning of these terms in the text as a whole cannot be handled in a KudoZ question and answer session.
Isabel Hohneck Mar 8, 2005:
Could you please post more context. There are different meanings in different scenarios.

group business additional/supplementary guarantees

It looks like "groep" does indeed mean 'group', as opposed to individual insurance policies.
