no doubt vtg is voertuig as you say.

you can also call it "Civil Liability Insurance" - which is too literal I would sayd. But you can see the website: www.kuleuven.be/english/insurance/other.htm

neutral jarry (X) : I'm afraid that wouldn't mean much to an English speaking reader. You now quote a Dutch-language site which isn't very relevant for researching an English-language term. Your second solution would make precious little sense to a native speaker of English.
