French term
CMA
French to English
Medical
Medical: Pharmaceuticals
pharmaceutical sales data
Discussing sales figures for certain angina treatments:
Source: Ventes Gers mars 2011 en CMA et Posologies réelles IMS Dataview février 2011 en CMA
It would make sense for this to be a type of outlet where the products are sold. However, The only thing I can find is "Centre Medical avec Antenne Chirurgicale", but this seems to be used more in the context of healthcare centres in developing countries.
The other alternative i've found is the company CMA Medical Data, so perhaps it means the GERS sales figures were obtained from the CMA.
Either way, I'm not sure enough and would like to canvass opinion!
Thanks.

Note from asker:
Yes, I hadn't thought of it being a unit of measurement, but its certainly possible |

: Almost certainly - I used to work for IT in a pharma company in France and used to have to process/analyse the 'ventes GERS'; cumuls mobiles were extremely common. Incidentally you misspelt annuel in your google ref above, try http://bit.ly/mgHBd4

CMA is acronym for Cumul Mobile Annuel
I assume that your question was what CMA Stands for in French?
If this is the question then this is the correct answer.
CMA acronym of Cumul Mobile annuel
GERS acronym of Groupement d'Etudes et de Recherche Statistiques
My sources: I have been working in the Pharmaceutical Industry in France for 17 years and I have been District Manager (so using the GERS just every day) for more than 10 years...

Oh and IMS is Intercontinental Marketing Services
"Back in 1954, Bill Frohlich, an advertising executive, and David Dubow, a visionary, set out to create a new kind of information company that could enable organizations to make informed, strategic decisions about the marketplace. They called their venture Intercontinental Marketing Services (IMS), and they introduced it at an opportune time, when pharmaceutical executives had little data to consult when in the throes of strategic or tactical planning."

So your sentence might be: Source: Sales according to GERS for the month of March 2011 in MAT and actual dosage IMS dataview Feb 2011 in MAT
One (GERS)is providing sales statistics in BOXES (do not forget that in France medicines are not being sold by tablet but by boxes. Only 3/4 of a 20 tablet-box could be necessary, but they still sell 20 tablets (I know it sounds crazy)
One is providing statistics about what has been REALLY prescribed by the physician.
If this is the question then this is the correct answer.

Then Why is she talking about CMA as being "centre médical avec antenne chirurgicale"? Sounds odd to ask what an acronym stands for in another language?
