softer values; human considerations
Softer values
Example:
Are "soft values" -- "sensitivity, subjectivity, tolerance, self-esteem, a therapy-based view of behavior, relativism, and nonjudgmentalism, all replacing the 'hard' values of individual responsibility, objectivity, self-control, patriotism, strong social expectations, and commitment to moral judgments"

Many useful hits for "soft values", including:

etc.
Human considerations
Norwegians are very preoccupied with what they call "myke verdier". This expression is used almost daily in the media. As I understand it, "myke verdier" in the context of an industrial concern refers to human considerations as opposed to considerations of profit and production.

Dette er et noksa etablert uttrykk som jeg mener ligger nær opptil "myke verdier".
Eks:We are not just here to manage capitalism but to change society and to define its finer values. Tony Benn 1925-, British Labor Politician

Med ettertanke synes jeg at Richards forslag passer best i denne kontekst.
