Но коллективности не казарменной, нивелирующей личность, а той, что Маркс и Энгельс называли действительной коллективностью, в условиях которой «индивиды обретают свободу в своей ассоциации и посредством ее».
Действительный can be translated in many ways and I thought that there may be an encyclopaedic reference to this, giving it some form of official translation. I have been unable to find any such offical translation on the Internet.

What kind of collectivity then does Marx want to reconstruct? To distinguish it from illusory collectivity, Marx names it "real community". "The illusory community in which individuals have up till now combined always took on an independent existence in relation to them. . . . In real community ***the individuals obtain their freedom in and through their association***."5
