Hi,

Sorry for all my questions.

In Trados Studio, the client sent me file.inx.ttx along with .ini file called "TXML".

Now I translate it and want to save target as, choose second option (original file format).

I notice that the new window is trying to save the file as .txml, but the original format is .inx.

Anyways, I let it go but an error appears:

Basically saying that it did not find the .txml, but I copied that file to nearly everywhere in my PC and no luck!

Any ideas?

Txml? Nov 3, 2012

I though that a file txml was a Wordfast format? Perhaps you meant "xml".

I'm not sure if it is possible to save the Studio file in its original format if you don't have the original indesign file. Your client has only provided the ttx. Perhaps I'm confused.

Regards

Clarisa

Yes the client sent me .ini file named "txml" along with the .ttx.

Now the client only wants ttx, but I need to generate target file to check and preview.

View inx.files without Indesign Software Program Nov 3, 2012

Hi,
To generate target file for check and preview you need to have installed Indesign on your machine. Otherwise, Studio 2011 supports a side by side preview where you can check and view source and target file without Indesign.

Simply go to the Menu>File>View In>Print Preview as Side-By-Side.

Good luck!

That's not possible and I got the same error message. I do have a (trial but working) InDesign.

Create a back-package then open it in Studio 2009, then save Nov 13, 2012
