El hecho de haber vivido parte de mi infancia en los EEUU me abrió las puertas al manejo de dos idiomas, el español (mi lengua madre) y el inglés (aprendido casi a la par con el español). De vuelta en mi país, Argentina, la práctica y el perfeccionamiento de mi segunda lengua siempre fueron un factor predominante en mi educación.

Docente por vocación, le he dedicado gran parte de mi vida a la enseñanza del idioma inglés. Mientras cumplía con mis tareas de docente una infatigable curiosidad me llevaba a informarme respecto a distintos temas. De esta curiosidad y de mi afán por adquirir mayor caudal cognitivo de ambas lenguas surgió la necesidad de encarar un estudio que me formara y perfeccionara en el manejo de ambos idiomas. Es así que opté por la carrera de Traductor Literario y Técnico-Científico. Dicha preparación me ha abierto un abanico de opciones que varía entre lo académico, cultural, periodístico, político, financiero, científico y técnico, entre otras.



Mis Objetivos
Valorar la importancia de la palabra escrita, para lo cual es necesario:

-Tener en cuenta el requerimiento del cliente y la recepción del lector.

- Evitar errores que desdibujen el mensaje real u ocasionen falsas interpretaciones.

Respetar el texto original:

- Interpretar el contenido del texto y volcarlo con exactitud al idioma requerido teniendo en cuenta el significado, las distintas estructuras y el contexto cultural del idioma receptor.

Reproducir la información de la manera mas natural y fluida posible:

- Para ello es necesario tener igual dominio de ambos idiomas de tal manera que se logre una correcta interpretación que permita volcar el contenido al idioma receptor con exactitud y fluidez.


Por todo lo antedicho es que considero que la traducción es un arma en la búsqueda de la verdad, y un instrumento para la difusión del conocimiento, la cultura y la tecnología.

Living in the USA during part of my childhood was an asset that enabled me to speak the two languages fluently: Spanish (my mother tongue) and English (which I learnt almost at the same time as I was learning my own language). Once back in my country, Argentina, my education was always focused towards improving my second language.
I have always liked teaching, and that is the reason why I have devoted great part of my life to teaching English. At the same time I was pushed by an insatiable curiosity to investigate and collect information on different topics, which, together with my desire to continue improving, was what raised the need to take up a course of study that would help me develop an expert skill in the two languages. Therefore I decided to be a Translator, which has allowed me to work on an extensive area related to literary texts, culture, news articles, politics, finance, science and technology.


Objectives
To give writing the real value it has:

- Taking into account the customer’s requirement and the reader’s reception

- Avoiding misleading messages or misinterpretation

To respect the source text

- Understanding the content accurately so as to transfer the message into the target language according to its meaning, the corresponding structures and the cultural background of the target language

To express the information in the most natural and fluent possible way

- To this purpose equal knowledge of the source and the target language is an asset to ensure an accurate understanding of the text so as to reproduce its exact message in the target language fluently


That is why I consider that translation is a weapon for truth and a tool for the diffusion of knowledge, culture and technology.
