With over a decade of experience in the language services industry, I am a seasoned linguist specialising in translation, linguistic quality assurance (LQA), and localisation. My career began during my final year at university. I worked as a liaison interpreter for the Southeast Asia Games and later as an interpreter at the British Council Education Exhibition in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This early exposure to multilingual environments sparked a passion that shaped a diverse and international career.

Educated in Thailand and the United Kingdom, I bring a bicultural perspective and a deep understanding of cross-cultural communication. My academic qualifications include a BA in German Studies and an MA in Professional Language and Intercultural Studies, complemented by extensive experience working across public, healthcare, legal, and digital content sectors. Fluent in technical and creative language nuances, I’ve successfully delivered a wide range of language services—translation, proofreading, interpreting, transcription, subtitling, trans-creation, copywriting, voiceover, and quality assessment.

After settling in the UK, I primarily served public and healthcare institutions before returning to Thailand for a year to work as an in-house translator for a property development firm. There, I handled various legal documents—including contracts, hire purchase agreements, and certificates of registration—developing a keen eye for legal terminology and precision in documentation.

My full-time role as an LQA Specialist at Alpha in the UK marked a significant milestone in my career. Working within a team covering 25 languages, I assessed translation quality and ensured content's accuracy, consistency, and cultural appropriateness across various media. This included websites, mobile apps (iOS and Android), and mobile games. I focused on the final stages of the localisation process, ensuring that all output met the required standards before public release.

In my LQA role, I conducted thorough linguistic reviews, applied quality checks, and collaborated closely with translators and project managers to resolve issues efficiently. I offered constructive feedback, ensuring continuous improvement across projects and teams. I also leveraged tools such as Phrase TMS to streamline QA processes and identify areas for operational enhancement. Whether performing spot checks, random sampling, or in-depth audits of large-scale projects, I consistently aimed to uphold client requirements and industry standards.
