Source text - English The initial preparation of surfaces prior to the first priming coat is the most important factor in determining the protective value of a paint system. If this preparation is not performed adequately and the paint is not applied quickly (within 4 hours of blast cleaning), no amount of successive coats of paint will improve the system. Similarly, the cleaning of surfaces prior to overcoating is also important to aid adhesion.
For the initial preparation, blast cleaning is the recommended method for castings and fabrications to achieve BS: 7079 Part A1 Grade Sa 2.1/2* (equivalent to ISO 8501-1 Grade 2.1/2).
Prior to overcoating existing paint, all surfaces to be painted must be cleaned to remove dust, dirt, oil, swarf, etc., using solvents approved by the paint manufacturers (see Appendices, Data Sheets and/or Paint cans for details), and dried prior to painting. The manufacturers recommended overcoating period should be observed.
* Definition of BS: 7079 Part A1 Grade Sa 2.1/2:- Very thorough blast cleaning: - When viewed without magnification, the surfaces shall be free from visible oil, grease, & dirt, and from mill scale, rust, paint coatings and foreign matter. Any remaining traces of contamination shall show only as a slight stain in the form of spots or stripes.
Some smooth or machined surfaces that call for painting require special preparation prior to the first priming coat, these treatments are covered in the paint system Appendices.
Translation - Russian Первоначальная подготовка поверхностей перед нанесением первого слоя грунта является самым важным фактором, определяющим защитные свойства системы покрытия. Если такая подготовка нанесена ненадлежащим образом и краска не нанесена быстро (в течение 4 часов после струйной обработки), то никакой дополнительной слой краски не улучшит систему. Также важным моментом является очистка поверхностей до нанесения поверхностного покрытия для улучшения адгезии.
Для первоначальной подготовки поверхностей отливок и формованных изделий рекомендуется использовать струйную очистку для того, чтобы получить степень очистки поверхности, соответствующую нормам британского стандарта BS: 7079 Часть A1 Марка Sa 2.1/2* (эквивалент ISO 8501-1 Марка 2.1/2).
Перед нанесением поверхностного покрытия на уже нанесённую ранее краску все поверхности должны быть очищены растворителями от пыли, грязи, масла, отработанного масла с примесью металлической стружки и т. д. Растворители должны быть одобрены изготовителями ЛКМ (см. Приложения, Опросные листы и/или канистры с краской). Перед нанесением поверхностного покрытия поверхности должны быть высушены. Изготовители рекомендуют соблюдать время нанесения поверхностного покрытия.
* Определение британского стандарта BS: 7079 Часть A1 Марка Sa 2.1/2:- Очень тщательная струйная очистка: - При осмотре без увеличительного стекла поверхности не должны содержать видимого масла, смазки, грязи, окалины, ржавчины, слоёв краски и посторонних веществ. Все оставшиеся следы загрязнений должны выглядеть только как лёгкое загрязнение в форме пятна или полос.
