March 2020 – Present: Initially pandemic-related stay in Mexico and continuation of Ashram-Seva (remote) until approx. June 2022. Then extensive travel in Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia to further deepen and improve my Spanish skills in order to be able to work as a translator and interpreter between the three languages Spanish, English and German.
June 2011 – February 2020: Ashram in Kerala, South India, where my “seva” (voluntary service) was interpreting (for patients in ashram hospital) and translating/translation management (books and articles on spirituality, social issues, ashram’s extended activities in ecological & environmental projects); first travel to Mexico, Chile; later Spain, to improve my Spanish skills.
November 2001 – May 2011: Various positions and projects, freelance and employed (Content Writer, Technical Editor English and Japanese; Project Manager Translation Agency).
December 1989 – October 2001: Japan, university studies in Linguistics & Cultural Anthropology, German teacher with Berlitz School of Languages; various professional projects (translating, interpreting English-Japanese-German).
