Languages have always been interesting for me since I was a child. At school, I studied Arabic, French then English to be able to "live", at least for few hours per day in the magic world of literature and words. After high school, I moved to Ukraine where I have received a degree of Master of Science in engineering geodesy. It is where I have learnt Russian and Ukrainian. Being multilingual helps me communicate with people from different countries and better understand other cultures. Language is indeed the soul of any culture.
For me, translation is not only a profession, it is a passion. Sometimes, it may be challenging to translate from one language to another, but being well acquainted with both cultures and having a creative mind makes it much easier. |
