Born to a Yoruba native-speaking home in Lagos, Nigeria, I grew up in an environment where English was predominantly used as the formal communication language. This allowed me to learn, speak, read, write, and translate both languages, at home and in school.
I began my academic studies in Animal Production and Health at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria where I obtained my Bachelor's degree. I later obtained postgraduate studies from the same institution.
