Dear friends,

I need to go to Ostrava at the end of January and I would like to ask you to help me with information about the best way to travel from Prague to Ostrava and back. By "best" I mean cheapest and fastest.

Many thanks for any hint.
Regards,
Dan

Prague Ostrava Jan 4, 2006

When I travelled from Prague to Brno last year I found the Student Agency bus service to be the best. It continues to Ostrava from Brno. It is slightly more expensive than some of the other services but is much more comfortable and fast. The buses are even better than the ones in the UK - airconditioned, free drinks, video included in the price.
If you are going from Prague City then it goes from the Florenc bus station. You can also get the bus from the airport if you are going direct to

If you are going from Prague City then it goes from the Florenc bus station. You can also get the bus from the airport if you are going direct to Ostrava from there. It is a minibus which connects with the main bus at the bus station. The only problem with the airport connection is that you sometimes have to wait for a later service because all the seats are booked in advance. I couldn't find a way of booking online from outside the C.R. but if you know someone in the country the best way is to get them to book the ticket and send it to you by post.

I would definitely choose them.

Student Agency Jan 11, 2006
