I have the LEO app on my smartphone, but in most cases I use the desktop version dict.leo.org for looking up something in a dictionary. The second translation related app is an app of one of my clients (a translation platform where I get notified about jobs and can accept or decline them).

Phones are a great source for communication. I receive emails and messages from clients regularly. But it's very unfortunate that anyone uses a phone for working purposes. The results cannot be positive.

Why would you need anything translation-related on your phone?

None at all on my phone.
I see others have Duolingo.... I have it on a tablet, but I prefer to use the computer, it's so much easier to type the answers instead of pushing buttons.

5+ apps about language / translation, or job related.
Smartphone is pratically everything here in mainland China.
Transactions, communications, take-aways, social media, TV series & films ... and even for quarantine since covid-19.
I read a report last week predicting a fast growing trend in e-learning. Phone apps again!

Confusion Sep 1, 2020

I think the question caused confusion because some people (like me) considered apps to work in the mobile (like CATs, Word, etc.), and some considered any app related to their jobs, like dictionaries, messagers, etc. Indeed both types are related to work. But I believe those who voted "None" thought of working apps, not reference or communication apps, which of course everyone has and are related to work as well.

Now make this poll on ProZ.com's facebook page...

Educated guess: you'd get different comments and results...
